About Our School

At Chaya Mushka High School we strive to create an environment that nurtures growth in all areas of a young woman’s life.

Every aspect of our school is imbued with the Rebbe’s guidance and is centered around the ideals of Torah and Chassidus. We aim to raise our students to be genuine, kind and giving; to constantly inspire those around them and to be dedicated to the Rebbe’s mission [of spreading the light of Torah and Chassidim to every corner of the world]. It is our greatest hope that our students develop a personal relationship with our Rebbe, and that this connection gives them chayus both now and throughout their future.

The CMHS student body is truly איין משפחה – a family of chassidim who undoubtedly bring nachas to the Rebbe.

Our Legacy

We are proud that our school is named after Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, the eminent wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of blessed memory. As a girl and young woman living in Communist Russia, the Rebbetzin was responsible for large parts of the underground Chabad network of Jewish activities; and throughout the years of the Rebbe’s leadership, the Rebbe’s mission was her mission.

Our ultimate wish is that our staff and students alike take a lesson from Rebbetzin’s extraordinary wisdom, strength of character and self-sacrifice, taking responsibility for every Jew,  constantly asking ourselves- “what am I needed for?”

Our Staff

A cohesive team of staff members is crucial to ensuring the well-being of our students. At Chaya Mushka High School, our staff is not only aware of our goals, they share those same goals and infuse every lesson with these ideals.

Our school is staffed with educators who are deeply committed to chinuch, focusing on educating the individual student with a goal of bringing out the greatest potential in each one.

Our team of teachers and administrators is uniquely dedicated to ensuring the academic, social-emotional and chassidishe well-being of every student, meeting often to discuss progress and ideas to ensure positivity and growth in every area.

Our Students

The students at Chaya Mushka High School are exceptional i

n many areas. The values and sincerity that they share makes them a close and cohesive group that truly care about each other. Small classes allow girls to bond as a family as well as branch out and create friendships beyond their grade. The deep sense of responsibility that our upperclassmen have towards the younger girls is unparalleled. The pure and infinite love that the Rebbe taught us to have for every Jew is truly found within each student at our school and is reflected in their day to day lives.

Our Curriculum

Chaya Mushka High School aims to educate the individual student, providing a wholesome and intriguing curriculum. Every subject, including Judaics, Chassidus and General Studies is infused with a sense of direction for their future lives and roles as shluchos and leaders of the Jewish community. Our students find their classes to be academically stimulating and enjoyable, and they graduate with the passion and the skills to continue expanding their knowledge beyond their school years.

When a student requires academic support, we work with the parents, students and teachers on an individual basis to determine the best course of action needed to ensure success. This may include modification of required work, an older student mentor, in-school tutoring or tutoring outside school hours. Every teacher truly has the students’ best interest in mind and will go to great lengths to support their students.

B’nos Chabad

“It’s not enough to study what is written in this textbook, or in another book- to become an encyclopedia of various tidbits of information. First and foremost, the child must be taught… that he’s a human being.” (from the Rebbe’s address on 19 Kislev 5745/December 13, 1984)

Teenagers with an inner sense of meaning and purpose lead rich and fulfilled lives.  Self-esteem, moral clarity and leadership qualities all flow from this basic ideal. This blend of the practical and idealistic helps create healthy, well-balanced students who will go on to transform the Jewish future.

Our B’nos Chabad program operates under the direct guidance of our school leadership. We employ full time staff who devote their time and energy to creating programs that inspire our students to live the values of Torah and Chassidus beyond the classrooms and in every aspect of their lives. A full schedule of farbrengens, mivtzoyim, shabbatons, emphasis on special days, watching farbrengens of the Rebbe and extra learning initiatives give our students the opportunity to utilize their creativity, leadership skills and to connect in their own way and on their own level.
